Even Lee Iococca is over it!

Remember Lee Iacocca, the man who rescued Chrysler Corporation from it’s death throes? He has a new book, and here are some excerpts.
_____________________________________________________________
Lee Iacocca Says:
“Am I the only guy in this country who’s fed up with what’s happening? Where the hell is our outrage? We should be screaming bloody murder. We’ve got a gang of clueless bozos steering our ship of state right over a cliff, we’ve got corporate gangsters stealing us blind, and we can’t even clean up after a hurricane much less build a hybrid car. But instead of getting mad, everyone sits around and nods their heads when the politicians say, “Stay the course”
Stay the course? You’ve got to be kidding. This is America, not the damned “Titanic”. I’ll give you a sound bite: “Throw all the bums out!”
You might think I’m getting senile, that I’ve gone off my rocker, and maybe I have. But someone has to speak up. I hardly recognize this country anymore.
The most famous business leaders are not the innovators but the guys in handcuffs. While we’re fiddling in Iraq, the Middle East is burning and nobody seems to know what to do. And the press is waving ‘pom-poms’ instead of asking hard questions. That’s not the promise of the “America” my parents and yours traveled across the ocean for. I’ve had enough. How about you?
I’ll go a step further. You can’t call yourself a patriot if you’re not outraged. This is a fight I’m ready and willing to have.
The Biggest “C” is Crisis !
Leaders are made, not born. Leadership is forged in times of crisis. It’s easy to sit there with your feet up on the desk and talk theory. Or send someone else’s kids off to war when you’ve never seen a battlefield yourself. It’s another thing to lead when your world comes tumbling down.
On September 11, 2001, we needed a strong leader more than any other time in our history. We needed a steady hand to guide us out of the ashes. A Hell of a Mess
So here’s where we stand. We’re immersed in a bloody war with no plan for winning and no plan for leaving. We’re running the biggest deficit in the history of the country. We’re losing the manufacturing edge to Asia, while our once-great companies are getting slaughtered by health care costs. Gas prices are skyrocketing, and nobody in power has a coherent energy policy. Our schools are in trouble. Our borders are like sieves. The middle class is being squeezed every which way These are times that cry out for leadership.
But when you look around, you’ve got to ask: “Where have all the leaders gone?” Where are the curious, creative communicators? Where are the people of character, courage, conviction, omnipotence, and common sense? I may be a sucker for alliteration, but I think you get the point.
Name me a leader who has a better idea for homeland security than making us take off our shoes in airports and throw away our shampoo? We’ve spent billions of dollars building a huge new bureaucracy, and all we know how to do is react to things that have already happened.
Name me one leader who emerged from the crisis of Hurricane Katrina. Congress has yet to spend a single day evaluating the response to the hurricane, or demanding accountability for the decisions that were made in the crucial hours after the storm.
Everyone’s hunkering down, fingers crossed, hoping it doesn’t happen again. Now, that’s just crazy. Storms happen. Deal with it. Make a plan. Figure out what you’re going to do the next time.
Name me an industry leader who is thinking creatively about how we can restore our competitive edge in manufacturing. Who would have believed that there could ever be a time when “The Big Three” referred to Japanese car companies? How did this happen, and more important, what are we going to do about it?
Name me a government leader who can articulate a plan for paying down the debt, or solving the energy crisis, or managing the health care problem. The silence is deafening. But these are the crises that are eating away at our country and milking the middle class dry.
I have news for the gang in Congress. We didn’t elect you to sit on your asses and do nothing and remain silent while our democracy is being hijacked and our greatness is being replaced with mediocrity. What is everybody so afraid of? That some bonehead on Fox News will call them a name? Give me a break. Why don’t you guys show some spine for a change?
Had Enough?
Hey, I’m not trying to be the voice of gloom and doom here. I’m trying to light a fire. I’m speaking out because I have hope I believe in America. In my lifetime I’ve had the privilege of living through some of America’s greatest moments. I’ve also experienced some of our worst crises: the “Great Depression”, “World War II”, the “Korean War”, the “Kennedy Assassination”, the “Vietnam War”, the 1970’s oil crisis, and the struggles of recent years culminating with 9/11. If I’ve learned one thing, it’s this:
“You don’t get anywhere by standing on the sidelines waiting for somebody else to take action. Whether it’s building a better car or building a better future for our children, we all have a role to play. That’s the challenge I’m raising in this book. It’s a call to “Action” for people who, like me, believe in America. It’s not too late, but it’s getting pretty close. So let’s shake off the crap and go to work. Let’s tell ‘em all we’ve had “enough.”

Alan Watts is one of the most widely read philosophers of the 20th century. In addition to his 28 books, Alan Watts delivered hundreds of public lectures and seminars the recordings of which have been preserved in the archives of the Electronic University, a non-profit organization dedicated to higher education. For the past two years Alan’s eldest son, Mark Watts has reviewed and cataloged these talks to prepare them for public broadcast. The Electronic University is now pleased to present the highlights of the spoken works of Alan Watts.
I highly recommend a listen. His insight and knowlege are enlightening, inspiring and exhilirating. This is an addiction you can absolutely afford to have and indulge in as often as you like. Enjoy!
Imagine that!
The exercise is as follows:
Please read the well-known lyrics below without singing them in your head. Instead, hear them in your own voice by reading them aloud.
Imagine there’s no heaven
It’s easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky
Imagine all the people
Living for today
Imagine there’s no countries
It isn’t hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people
Living life in peace
You may say I’m a dreamer
But I’m not the only one
I hope someday you’ll join us
And the world will be as one
Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world
You may say I’m a dreamer
But I’m not the only one
I hope someday you’ll join us
And the world will live as one

This is not a song. It is one of the many historical, call-to-action, checkpoints we have passed through in our quest for unity and a collective human consciousness.
Not unlike the long line of our history’s other beloved messengers who have been taken from us since the beginning of time, John Lennon was continuing the thread of positive reinforcement visualization and messaging gifted to us in order to prompt self examination and the questioning of our belief systems. We have chosen to look everywhere else in our imagination except within ourselves. So, if you can imagine god, which there is no verifiable proof of, why can’t you imagine what’s right in front of you? We know that love and compassion exists within us. We know that peace can exist. We know that we exist. The possibilities within our reach are endless in comparison to the finite box of fabricated stories and false promises that we continue to buy into. Why are we putting our selves second and the manufactured information first? Why are we giving our power away to things that are really not remotely related to our individual truths? Is the programming so embedded that we can no longer see beyond it? Why would we not connect with something tangible and practical like each other? All we truly have IS each other.
We are all sharing a vast universe. Ever look up at the stars in the night sky and say to yourself how unbelievable it is? It’s all completely unbelievable!
The universe is made up of reflective energy. If you say thank you, the universe will say, you’re welcome in many amazing and unpredictable ways. The universe has no judgment, only support. God punishes the wicked. The universe supports them. If you are unhappy for extended periods of time, subconsciously you are requesting support for that state of mind. When one can change the pattern to something positive, that will be equally supported. If you have the ambition to take over the world, the support is there. That’s the crazy thing! Most of us are so wrapped up in behavior patterns that are not practical; the practicality of life appears to be virtually non-existent. Is it practical to pray? Are heaven and hell practical? Is it practical to believe in things that are based on faith or hearsay? Is it practical to hate someone because they look different or believe something different then you? Is it practical to exclude? Is it practical to commit acts of violence for any reason? These things are simply not practical and deep down inside we all know that. This is because it is our common, practical truth based on reason that binds us. We have simply forgotten based on our daily distractions. Is it practical to educate? Yes. Is it practical to share? Yes. Is it practical to have love and compassion for others without judgment? Yes. Is it practical to want change for yourself and your entire environment? Yes. Is it practical to not take things personally? Yes. Is it practical to listen to your own heart? Yes. Modifying behavior patterns will eliminate the need for unhealthy, external support devices thereby improving your desired purpose with practicality and inner peace. The challenge is to separate yourself from things that you cannot explain and begin seeing the world through your practical truth. It is healthy to look inside yourself on a regular basis and qualify your beliefs whereby discovering the potential of your true self. Always remember that the universe supports you unconditionally. Express your gratitude regularly and often and you will be amazed at the response you WILL receive. We CAN turn things around as easily as we let then get away from us. Spread the word.
Seek the Truth and it WILL find You.
Ignorance is not bliss and what you don’t know is hurting you and everyone else on the planet.
There are those who want to know the truth, and there are those who are too afraid of knowing it. Frankly, there is a lot to be fearful of. However, that is exactly what the powers that be are “banking” on. It has always been that way. Control the money and legislation and you own the game. I am not looking for trouble folks, but I am aware that we are getting much closer to a point in time where total paralyzation of the population is at hand. I am a positive, funny and outgoing person who’s only interest is to provoke thought and present facts and a variety of information that resonates with me and may stimulate conversations. We are ALL aware of what’s going on on some “numb” level of denial that the earth has become fragmented through the simple act of “believing”. Whether it’s religion or politics, humans take hard positions and eliminate the opportunity for other possibilities to be considered. It is a hiding place where one can feel that they can belong and are supported by like minded people. Being “right” is not important. It only brings about separation and exclusion. It’s okay to share. It’s okay to connect and it’s okay to assume some responsibility for each other. This is not about judgment of those who led us here. We followed them. There is no right or wrong. There just is. As a species, we need to consider our eminent extinction due to our own lack of individual and collective power. One bad apple does not spoil the bunch, but it must be dealt with.
My seven year old daughter was telling me how very excited she is about walking with her class in the Martin Luther King procession that her grade school is participating in. In the emotional space that I currently find myself, I was compelled to share the truth with her about a man who is in a long line of messengers that have been eliminated in order to keep the truth from us. We visited the Martin Luther King Jr. Institute website and I began to read his biography to her (and my 3.5 year old son). When I told her that he was killed because of the truth, we both began to cry. She (and my son) immediately wanted to physically punish someone. I did tell her that the man who killed him was given a 99 year jail sentence. I had to explain to her that violence is never the answer. I told her that Dr. King used his inspired “words” of truth and compassion to convey his messages of unity, equality and community and did not rely on fear to motivate people. It was a challenging exchange. I told her that his house was bombed. I told her that there were several attempts to stop him from telling the truth. It was an incredible experience not dealing with a programmed individual and being blessed to be able to witness her processing the truth with hear heart and not her cluttered mind. She now has some engaging back story and facts to set up a totally different appreciation for one our greatest leaders that she would not have known otherwise till much later in her life. The truth needs to be taught early. If that is all they know, then that is what they will share. We have an enormous responsibility to our children to do things that do not involve solutions of violence or judgment, but compassion as well as constant reminders of the human skills we need to continually work on. I am hopeful that the world can heal. I am hopeful that we can raise our future generations to do what feels good. To love everyone without the boundaries of judgment.
Gods and faith based religions as a way to eliminate chaos? Quite the opposite. Formulating different belief systems causes chaos and disconnect between us, hence holy wars, defending belief systems, intolerance and hatred. We are human. We all crave to be accepted and loved. Some of us have simply disconnected on both sides. The light could not exist without the dark. Shine your light.
There has been concern about the percieved negative content contained on this site. I do speak of love and compassion as the overall answer and I am hopeful that we will all eventually come to a similar conclusion for a collective healing.
This may not have answered the question of what I’m doing, but it is my truth and I am grateful for an opportunity to share my love with you.
Thank you mom.
Habeas corpus is dead! RIP old friend.

In the final hours before adjourning last year, Congress passed and the president signed the Military Commissions Act (MCA). In doing so, they cast aside the Constitution and the principle of habeas corpus, which protects against unlawful and indefinite imprisonment. They also gave the president absolute power to designate enemy combatants, and to set his own definitions for torture.
Habeas corpus isn’t a fancy legal term. It’s the freedom from being thrown in prison illegally, with no help and no end in sight. No president should ever be given the power to call someone an enemy, wave his hand, and lock them away indefinitely. The Founders made the president subject to the rule of law. They rejected dungeons and chose due process.
We all know the difference between fairness and persecution. If we do not act immediately to fix the Military Commissions Act and restore our constitutional rights, basic protections like habeas corpus could be lost forever, and our country would become unrecognizable.
What’s wrong with the Military Commissions Act:
UNDERMINES THE CONSTITUTION AND
THE RULE OF LAW
MAKES THE PRESIDENT BOTH JUDGE AND JURY
REJECTS CORE AMERICAN VALUES
What you can do:
GET THE FACTS ON HABEAS CORPUS AND THE MILITARY COMMISSIONS ACT
LEARN HOW CONGRESS CAN FIX THE MCA
HELP FIND HABEAS
The MCA eliminates the constitutional due process right of habeas corpus for detainees at Guantánamo Bay and elsewhere. It allows our government to continue to hold hundreds of prisoners for more than five years without charges.
It also gives any president the power to declare — on his or her own — who is an enemy combatant, decide who should be held indefinitely without being charged with a crime and define what is — and what is not — torture and abuse.
Two bills have been introduced in Congress that would restore habeas corpus rights to detainees and reaffirm that no president can make up his or her own rules regarding torture and abuse: The Restoring the Constitution Act of 2007 and The Habeas Corpus Restoration Act.
Our Constitution is what distinguishes America from other countries. It’s what makes us Americans. To do away with its protections makes us more like those we are fighting against.
Congress made a mistake when they supported the MCA in 2006. But the ultimate responsibility lies with us, the people. We know what America stands for, at home and abroad. We have the power and the obligation to call on Congress to correct its mistake and restore habeas corpus and all the constitutional and due process rights they took away.

Who came up with this crap? Charlton Heston?

The 10 Commandments – God’s Revelation in the Old Testament
The 10 Commandments are found in the Bible’s Old Testament at Exodus, Chapter 20. They were given directly by God to the people of Israel at Mount Sinai after He had delivered them from slavery in Egypt:
“And God spoke all these words, saying: ‘I am the LORD your God…
ONE: ‘You shall have no other gods before Me.’
TWO: ‘You shall not make for yourself a carved image–any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.’
THREE: ‘You shall not take the name of the LORD your God in vain.’
FOUR: ‘Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.’
FIVE: ‘Honor your father and your mother.’
SIX: ‘You shall not murder.’
SEVEN: ‘You shall not commit adultery.’
EIGHT: ‘You shall not steal.’
NINE: ‘You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.’
TEN: ‘You shall not covet your neighbor’s house; you shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, nor his male servant, nor his female servant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor anything that is your neighbor’s.’

Are you fucking kidding me?!!! We’ve murdered and terrorized millions of innocent humans with taxpayer dollars for generations. We dropped the bomb on Hiroshima and Nagasaki vaporizing hundreds of thousands unknowing men, women and children. We’ve mutilated and displaced hundreds of thousands in Vietnam, Korea, Afganistan and Iraq, etc. I say, “we” because “we” have not stopped this insanity. When you finance both sides of a war, you win! When you loan poor and starving countries money in exchange for their infrastructure and souls, you win! When you destroy the moral values, hopes and dreams of children through fear, distraction and misrepresentation, you win. No higher being (if such a thing exists) would command us to do anything or judge us. Requiring a god implies that we are an unintelligent, impractical, non-reasoning species without any sense of order or social responsibility. Do we really need the ten commandments to tell us that we should not murder? Do we really require manufactured documentation to tell us how to work within the confines of a shared existence? We have been commanded by those who seek to gain fortune and power via the weakness of our minds and the fear in our hearts. I am so sorry we have ended up here in this time of desperation, but we need to rally together NOW!. Please wake the fuck up. I have kids. Do you?
The time is now!

Believe nothing. Allow your cognitive brain to access the information and your heart and soul to process it. The majority of the planet has stopped remembering prior to programming and we need to begin deprogramming the population. Please take a look at the following information contained on this site and decide for yourself if we have any more time to wait for someone else to stand up for us versus doing it ourselves.
The lesser of (2) evils is still evil.
We’ve been told to “Rock the Vote” and participate in an exercise that is futile and self serving. We’ve been told to play in a game where morals and rules do not apply to those who can pay to change them. Sometimes the packaging appears different enough to make a choice for one who appears to lean in favor of our individual ideals. The fact is, we have been fucked over by every administration since George Washington. If you want to get someones attention, do the opposite of what they expect. Catch them off guard and force them to deal with “we the people” in a show of strength and resolve to make things different. We all need to demand our civil rights back and shut down the corporatizing of the United States before it’s too late.
